Your Rights

At Matthew 25, we treat everyone with respect. We give high-quality care to all people, no matter your race, religion, sex, age, income, ability, or background.

As a patient, you have the right to:

  • Be part of making your care plan. You can ask questions and help decide what care is best for you.
  • Know about your health and your treatment choices.
  • Be treated with respect, no matter your culture, values, or beliefs.
  • Have your private information kept safe and private.
  • Get help if you have trouble hearing, seeing, or speaking.
  • Get fair access to all our programs and services.
  • Understand your care plan, including what could happen if you don’t follow it.
  • Ask questions when you don’t understand something and get answers you can understand.
  • Know if your doctor has a conflict of interest in your care.
  • Speak up if you have concerns or complaints without being treated unfairly.

Your Responsibilities

We want to work with you to help you stay healthy. You are part of the team.

You can help by

  • Giving us correct and full information about your health and past care.
  • Telling us if your symptoms or condition change.
  • Asking questions if something is not clear.
  • Following the care plan we agree on, or telling us if something makes it hard for you to follow it.
  • Coming to your appointments, or calling us if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Giving us any paperwork we ask for, like insurance or financial information.
  • Paying co-pays or making a plan to pay your bills.
  • Treating our staff, other patients, and visitors with kindness and respect.
  • Telling us if your insurance, housing, or financial situation changes.
  • Make sure any visitors you bring with you follow these rules.

Please do not

  • Smoke or bring weapons onto Matthew 25 property.
  • Use alcohol or illegal drugs at Matthew 25.
  • Take pictures or record videos of staff or other patients.
  • Be loud, rude, or disruptive in our building.
  • Threaten or hurt others.

Code of Conduct

Matthew 25 is a place where everyone should feel safe and respected. We ask all patients and visitors to help us keep it that way.

You must not

  • Bring guns, knives, or other weapons.
  • Intimidate, threaten, scare, or hurt anyone.
  • Yell, use bad language, or make rude comments.
  • Say hurtful things about someone’s race, gender, religion, or identity.
  • Refuse to be seen by a staff member because of who they are.
  • Touch others in a sexual or inappropriate way.
  • Break things or damage property.
  • Smoke anywhere on our property.

Please

  • Treat staff, patients, and visitors with respect.
  • Turn off or silence your phone and avoid using it when talking with staff.
  • Tell us right away if you see or hear anything unsafe or inappropriate.

Both patients and visitors are expected to follow all rules and expectations. If someone breaks these rules, they may be asked to leave. In some cases, they may not be allowed to return for care.
