Marissa Traub APRN

Marissa Traub is originally from Evansville, Indiana. She began her nursing career in 2008 after earning her Associate of Science in Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College. She worked for five years as a medical-surgical nurse, and she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in 2012.

Marissa went on to spend eight years in critical care, working in level one trauma centers and academic medical centers in Charleston, SC, and Portland, OR. Her clinical experience includes caring for patients requiring advanced life support, including those on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). During this time, she earned her Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification and was honored with the DAISY Award for excellence in nursing.

In 2017, she returned to Evansville to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing while continuing to practice as a registered nurse. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2021 and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Marissa has since focused her career in nonprofit healthcare, delivering compassionate, relationship-centered care to underserved and underrepresented populations. She joined the provider team at Matthew 25 in January 2025, serving patients at the Evansville clinic.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
