BBQ, Bourbon & Burlesque: A Roaring Success
What a night! Our very first BBQ, Bourbon & Burlesque was a roaring success, and we can’t thank our guests enough for bringing the energy—and the sparkle. From feathered headbands to dapper suspenders, the 1920s attire was fabulous and set the scene for an unforgettable evening.
Caryn Wells of Green River Distilling wowed us all with her bourbon expertise, guiding guests through a tasting program that was as smooth as the spirits themselves. Add in a buffet piled high with smoky goodness from Thomason’s BBQ, Homer’s BBQ, and Lonestar BBQ, and it’s safe to say no one left hungry!
And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, the Drop Dead Darlings lit up the stage with a burlesque performance that closed the evening in true show-stopping fashion.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who donated and took the time to learn about the difference Matthew 25 is making in our region. Your generosity ensures we can keep expanding our impact—and do it in style!
Until next year… keep your pearls polished and your bourbon neat!

Clinic Updates: Advancing Care & Expanding Services
We’re excited to share some important updates about our ongoing commitment to high-quality, accessible care for our community.
Ending the HIV Epidemic Funds
We had a patient who lost everything to a house fire this month. With the help of Ending the HIV Epidemic Funds (EHE), case management worked together to get the individual canned foods, clothing, work boots, a mattress, kitchen supplies, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
STI Rapid Testing
Our Evansville team completed their first rapid STI testing with results given in under 30 minutes. This new and improved testing is providing patients with faster results and more rapid treatment options.
Mobile Unit
Matthew 25’s mobile unit is out in the community each week, bringing vital services directly to those who need them most. Stay tuned to see where we’ll be next! Anyone interested in scheduling our mobile unit to be present at your facility or event, please reach out to Angie Poe at apoe@matthew25clinic.org.
Housing Update
As of this month, 23 households have been moved to permanent housing through our supportive services. Our housing services team has helped alleviate a major barrier to healthcare through this program to help our patients thrive!

United States Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) 2025
Our team was honored to attend USCHA 2025 earlier this month. This year’s theme “Aging with HIV” has never been more relevant to our clinic, and the world. As HIV prevention and care has continued to improve year over year, thanks to programs like the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, so have the lives of people living with HIV.
It’s vital that we recognize the growing HIV & aging population, so that we can continue to meet the needs of those living with HIV at all points in their journey.

Summer Summit
The Kentucky Part B Summer Summit is an annual training held yearly in Frankfort that provides training, technical assistance, and updates to all subrecipients of the Ryan White Care Coordination program.
Stephanie Bailey and Skye Hance were recognized at this year’s Summer Summit for their outstanding work and compassion for our patients. This honor highlights their dedication and is a true testament to the high-quality, patient-centered care they provide each and every day. Stephanie and Skye serve as Case Managers through the Ryan White Care Coordination Program, a funding initiative of the Kentucky Department for Public Health.

All Hands on Deck Live
Morgan Sipes and Olivia Blanco-Allega presented at the “All Hands on Deck Live” conference in Indianapolis this month. They presented on our harm reduction program –how we started, where we are at, and where we are going.
