Taking Pride in Community
Throughout June, Matthew 25 participated in Pride celebrations, Juneteenth events, affirming church services, health fairs, and community gatherings across Kentucky and Indiana. Each event allowed us to share prevention resources, strengthen partnerships, and connect individuals with care and support.
We were especially honored to serve as one of the Grand Marshals of the River City Pride Parade,
a recognition of our longstanding commitment to serving our communities through public health
initiatives, education, advocacy, and compassionate
care. It was a proud moment for our organization and
a reminder of the importance of showing up,
supporting others, and building healthier
communities for all.
From Pride festivals to Juneteenth commemorations,
each event reinforced the value of visibility, inclusion,
and accessible healthcare. Thank you to the
organizations, churches, volunteers, and community
members who partnered with us throughout the
month.

Annual All Staff Meeting
Staff from across our service area gathered to review organizational priorities, celebrate accomplishments, and align around strategic goals for the coming year.
This year’s meeting was especially meaningful as we kicked off our 30th anniversary celebration. Complete with cupcakes, commemorative anniversary t-shirts, and a spirited rendition of “Happy Birthday,” the gathering was a fun reminder of how far we’ve come, and the incredible team that makes our work possible every day.
Prevention: National HIV Testing Day
Thank you to everyone who joined us for National HIV Testing Day! This year, we hosted testing events at Walgreens locations in Henderson, Evansville, and Owensboro, providing HIV education, free testing, and connections to prevention and care services.
We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Walgreens, Greater Than HIV, and 92.5 WBKR for helping make the day such a success. Together, we were able to provide free and confidential HIV testing to 127 individuals across our three events.
Our Owensboro event was extra special as we combined National HIV Testing Day with a celebration of Matthew 25’s 30th birthday. Party hats, fun glasses, festive decor and popsicles helped create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who stopped by.
The weather didn’t want to cooperate with us for our Indiana testing event on Saturday, June 27th, but we were able to test two individuals before the event got rained out.
A special thank you goes to Chad and Ashley from WBKR, as well as volunteer Kam Trout, for helping raise awareness by getting tested on camera and showing just how quick, simple, and important HIV testing can be.
While we host several pop-up testing events throughout the year, free and confidential HIV testing is always available at any of our clinic locations. Walk-ins are welcome, or appointments can be scheduled during regular clinic hours. Routine HIV testing remains one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your health.

Fresh Air Church: Fresh Air Church welcomed Matthew 25 to participate in its Pride Service, where staff shared information about our programs and services and joined attendees for fellowship and community engagement. We took part in a fun popsicle and fruit roll-up sweet treat activity before the affirming church service began. The congregation kindly took up donations to support our work.

Studio Hype: A huge thank you to Studio Hype Dance Studio for hosting a Giveback Class. In lieu of class fee, guests were encouraged to make a donation to us. Guests supported Matthew 25 through donations while learning more about our programs and services.
River City Pride: We have a long-standing collaborative partnership with River City Pride and appreciate their on-going efforts geared towards the well-being of the LGBTQIA+ population. Throughout the year, River City Pride has attended our events and advocated for the importance of our work. They consistently work to debunk stigma, raise
