Matthew 25 AIDS Services, Inc. plans to pack the Community Baptist Church auditorium on Saturday March 19th, when the nonprofit organization stages its ninth annual charity fashion show and lunch, Runway Red.
Runway Red attendees will enjoy a catered lunch, door prizes, a silent auction and the opportunity to view current fashions from Tri-State boutiques. Vendor tables featuring a variety of products from independent sales representatives will be set up to allow attendees to view and purchase items.
All proceeds from the event will go to Matthew 25 AIDS Services, a local specialty medical clinic that supports, educates and treats those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
“Runway Red is a great opportunity to spend the afternoon having lunch with friends while viewing the latest spring fashions,” states the clinic’s Director of Community Services, Sally Welch. “We plan this event around National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day which is March 10. Our hope is to enlighten the community about the increased risks of contracting HIV for women and girls. According to the CDC, 1 in 4 people living with HIV infection in the United States are women.”
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for vendor shopping, with fashion show beginning at 11:30 a.m. Admission is $25 per person and tables of six (6) may be reserved for $150. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Matthew 25’s Director of Community Services, Sally Welch or Administrative Support Specialist, Nicole Lowe, at 270-826-0200, swelch@matthew25clinic.org or nlowe@matthew25clinic.org.
