It’s back Y’all!
Our “A Walk In Their Shoes” event is in it’s second year!
Last year we asked you to choose one of three routes to walk or run throughout the entire month of October to help us spread awareness about HIV/AIDS in our community.
This year, we are changing some things up! We are beginning the event August 30th and it will end September 16tH! You will have two weeks to complete a single route!
YOU are challenged to complete a 35k!
But why a 35k?
Each year, approximately 35,000 people are newly diagnosed with HIV in the United States, and we are hoping to bring attention to this sad statistic.
Registration costs will be $25 per person, $15 per high school or college student (sign up with valid student email). All participants will receive a shirt with their registration for the event! Each registrant will also receive a racing bib!We invite you to take a picture of yourself with your racing bib at the end of your walk and share it to our Facebook page! And if you feel comfortable—share your start date and completion date! And be sure to use #WalkInTheirShoes or #AWITS when you do!
Want a shirt but can’t participate in the walk? No problem! We’re selling shirts on the side too! Just click the same link as the registration and you can purchase a shirt without registering!
ALL funds from the walk help Matthew 25 continue our mission to support, treat, and educate those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
So get up, get walking, and help us make a difference!
